The students should wear the uniform prescribed by Manthan. We request parents to stitch at least four sets and keep one set at Manthan for any emergency need of the child after clearly marking the name of the child on the inner side of the uniform. Students may wear 'color dress' on their birthday, the day after Deepavali or Onam or Ramzan or Christmas and on the last working day of Term I, II and III.

Manthan recommends a slip-on shoe for convenience of wear and removal by the child. The suggested color is either black or brown.

The fabric for uniform is available with Shangeetha Textiles (located below Adyar Flyover and near Standard Chartered Bank). If Shangeetha Textiles has any problem in stitching uniforms on time then, Manthan suggests that you buy the material from Shangeetha Textiles and stitch uniforms elsewhere. Shangeetha Textiles will give two logos free per set of uniform

For Boys
Shorts

• Elastic Hip for Pre KG at the back for better grip (only for Pre-KG)
• No suspenders for all classes
• Front Opening with ZIP/Buttons as per your desire. Please take care of issues relating to zip causing problems for the younger children. Manthan's suggestion will be
       1. Pre KG/LKG - No opening/No Button
       2. UKG - Button/Zip
       3. Std I to V - Zip

• Length of shorts one inch above the knee
• Cloth length required: Hip to Knee plus two/three inches for fold
• Logo on the front belt portion
• Loops provision for ONE INCH belt, if you wish

Top (Shirt)         

• Length of shirt: Shoulder to two inches below bums
• Cloth length: Shirt length plus two inches for fold
• Front pocket on the left side
• No shoulder loop
• Two spare buttons
• Logo on the right arm sleeve (middle of lower half-centered )

For Girls
Bottom (Pinafore with folded pleats)

• Pinafore Length:Shoulder to one inch below knee
• Cloth required: Pinafore length plus two/three inches for fold
• Pleats: 4 in the front and 4 in the back
• Hook for adjusting hip - five levels to expand (providing loops inside)
• Front and back from hip to shoulder to have two layers of cloth for better grip/fall
• Logo on the belt portion
• Appropriate Shoulder strip width - neither too big nor too small - suggested strip width less than 30% of shoulder width of the child

Bottom (Divided Skirt)
For all children from Std II and tall children

• Divided Skirt Length:Waist to one inch below knee
• Cloth required: Skirt length plus two/three inches for fold
• Pleats: 4 in the front and 4 in the back
• Hook for adjusting hip - five levels to expand (providing loops inside)
• Inner bloomer little loose but attached to Divided Skirt for easy slip and wear
• Logo on the belt portion

Top (Shirt)

• Length of shirt: Shoulder to two inches below bums
• Cloth length: Shirt length plus two inches for fold
• Special collar for girl children
• Two spare buttons
• Logo on the right arm sleeve (middle of lower half - centered)
