Transport Facility

A group of private transport operators have agreed to provide transport facility to Manthan students. Routes will change when Manthan relocates to Kottivakkam. Parents are free to choose any mode of transport and any van operator of their choice apart from the routes offered by these operators. Manthan does not own or operate any transport service. Manthan has requested the van operators to pick up children between 7.45 AM and 8.15 AM to ensure that the child reaches the school before 8.35 AM. The drop trips will start after 12.30 PM and 3.45 PM.

The traffic is very heavy from 7.45 AM and the school has no control over this traffic pattern. The school insists on safe driving practices followed by van operator(s) even though Manthan does not own the vans.

In order to ensure proper school timings, Manthan requests parents and teachers to adhere to the pickup/drop timings. Children and Teachers must wait at their respective points before the stated time. Vans waiting for an ADDITIONAL ONE minute at each point results in a cumulative delay of 10 to 12 minutes.

Drop service depends on traffic pattern and starting time. The school tries their best to help children board the vans by 3.55 PM. Vehicle waiting at any point for parents add to enormous delay for the last child. The school gets calls from parents enquiring about delay.

The driver and assistant can not lead the child to any particular destination other than designated drop points. Kindly stick to the same pickup and drop points to ensure proper functioning of transport service for your child and for every other child.

Routes may have to change based on traffic blocks, road blocks and weather conditions. Manthan requests parents to co-operate during those days by coming to the nearest point. Changing routes for the sake of one child disrupts plans and timings of all others.

All routes and timings are valid under normal days with normal traffic patterns. Manthan is ready to help each one of you within our limited resources and capability.

The van operator contact numbers are given below

  • Any delay in service
  • Not requiring the transport service on a day due to
    • Child on leave of absence for that day
